Guide to Street Awareness Victim of Crime Disability – Access All Areas The Disability Discrimination Act [DDA] The Disability Discrimination Act aims to end the discrimination that many disabled people face. In this way it tries to ensure that disabled people can access the same opportunities as everyone else as a right not a favour. The act gives disabled people rights in the areas of:   employment   education   access to goods, facilities and services   buying or renting land or property The Act also:   requires public bodies to promote equality of opportunity for disabled people   allows the government to set minimum standards so that disabled people can use public transport easily.
