Connexions Somerset Ltd in the Media September 08
BRIDGWATER beaches were cleaned up this week thanks to a group of young people from the Sedgemoor area. The group of young people are all taking part in a six week beach clean organised by Connexions Somerset. During the six week period the group hope to clear rubbish from Stolford to Steart Point. Connexions Personal Adviser Kim Small said:”All the young people involved in the beach clean this summer have showed real dedication – particularly because of the weather. “It has also given them the opportunity to learn about the dangers of litter and importance of protecting the environment. They should all be really proud of themselves.” Connexions Somerset would like to thank Sedgemoor district council for donating gloves and bags for the beach clean and Boots the chemist for donating sun cream and Frisbees.
