AT A LOOSE END? HELP IS AT HAND!
TAUNTON teenagers still struggling to know what to do next after their A Level or GCSE exams are being offered a helping hand.
Teenage advisory service Connexions Somerset wants to remind young people in the town that support and guidance is available to those young people yet to make a decision about their future.
Connexions Somerset Chief Executive Rachel Bendall said: “I think the most important message we can give is don’t panic – there are still plenty of options available, even if your exam results weren’t quite what you expected.
“There will be a lot of young people out there who, for one reason or another, will be unsure of their next move – and I’m sure there will be a few parents concerned that their offspring have yet to make a definite choice.
“But the fact is that many doors are still open. Even at this late stage colleges will still have vacancies on some courses and there are worked based learning options to consider as well.”
The Taunton Connexions centre, on the High Street in Taunton town centre is open from Monday- Friday 9.30am - 4.30pm. Connexions personal advisors are always on hand to give confidential help and advice, as are employment and training advisers.
