Connexions Somerset Ltd in the Media October 08
CALLING ALL CREATIVE SOMERSET STUDENTS!
TEENAGERS from across Somerset are being given the chance to see their Christmas card creations professionally produced.
The annual Connexions Somerset Christmas card competition, sponsored by local printers Octavo of Yeovil offers young people in the county the chance to have their design used as the organisations official Christmas card.
Connexions Somerset will use the winning design to deliver seasonal greetings to more than 700 organisations, companies, agencies and individuals throughout Somerset and beyond.
The winner will also win £50 worth of WHSmith vouchers as well as Connexions goodies for their school.
Two runners up will each receive a WHSmith voucher worth £25 and will also win goodies for their school.
The competition is open to 13-19 years olds living in Somerset and entries can be in any media and of any Christmas theme but must be received by the Connexions Somerset Information & Marketing team by Wednesday November 19th 2008.
Sarah Hatem, Connexions Somerset Graphics Co-ordinator said:
“Each year the standard of entries gets higher and higher.
“And we always receive entries in a variety of different mediums.
This could include a collage or a design created using the latest graphics packages.
“There is just no guessing what the winning design will be!”
The winning entry and runners up will also be showcased on the Connexions Somerset website – www.connexions-somerset.org.uk
