Connexions Somerset Ltd is top Careers Service in the Country!
 CAREERS service Connexions Somerset is celebrating after being the only careers service in the country to be awarded an Investors in People Gold award.
Just two other organisations in the South West have been successful in achieving the award which requires organizations to achieve a minimum of 126 evidence requirements above the minimum requirement.
Connexions Somerset Chief Executive Rachel Bendall said: “This is an outstanding achievement and shows that Connexions Somerset Ltd not only provides an excellent service to young people but also for those who work within the organisation.”
The Investors in People assessor in summarising the outcomes of the review said: “Connexions Somerset Limited exceeds many areas of the extended standard and to develop and apply excellent people strategies, policies and practices.
“Every now and then we come across enlightened organisations where approach goes beyond the minimum set by the standard.
“Connexions Somerset Limited is one such organisation and the Senior Leadership Team and management should be congratulated for maintaining and indeed improving the excellent people practices during a period of massive change.”
Only 32 of the 40,000 IIP accredited organisations in the UK have been successful in achieving the Gold Award, and Connexions Somerset Ltd is the first Careers Service or Connexions Company to have done so.

“First recognised in 1994, Connexions Somerset Ltd has consistently sought to improve performance through its people and by using the extended Investors in People framework has demonstrated excellent practice beyond the core level of good practice represented by The Standard.
