This area of the website provides details of how to navigate our site and what you can do to help your accessibility of the Connexions Somerset website. Navigation This website uses access keys to help users navigate the main areas of the website. What follows is an explaination of how this functionality works and what the short cut keys are. Navigation of the main website pages To go to the home page using just the keyboard press the alt key + a then press the return key. To go to the relationships section using just the keyboard press the alt key + b then press the return key. To go to the education and training section using just the keyboard press the alt key + c then press the return key. To go to the housing and shelter section using just the keyboard press the alt key + d then press the return key. To go to the health and emotions section using just the keyboard press the alt key + e then press the return key. To go to the money section using just the keyboard press the alt key + f then press the return key. To go to the jobs section using just the keyboard press the alt key + g then press the return key. To go to the get active section using just the keyboard press the alt key + h then press the return key. To go to the rights section using just the keyboard press the alt key + i then press the return key. To go to the help section using just the keyboard press the alt key + j then press the return key. Text Size In order to make the text within this site easier to read we have provided several alternative style sheets to enlarge the type and make the site clearer to read for those that require it. In order to enlarge the text size you can click on the 'Make text larger' option shown on the menu near the top right of this page or alternatively use the following access key shortcuts: To enlarge the text size press alt + l then press the return key. To switch of all the images and display a text only layout pres alt + t then press the return key. To revert all text sizes back to their original format, press alt + s then press the return key. The site will remember which size option you have chosen by storing a cookie on your hard drive and using it when you make a return visit. I addition, you may increase or decrease the size of fonts used on this site by changing your broswers own settings. If you are unsure which browser you are using, you should be able to find out by reading the title shown at the very top of your browser screen. For Internet Explorer do the following: 1. Click on "View" 2. Select "Text Size" 3. Select "Larger" or "Largest" For Netscape Navigator do the following: 1. Click on "View" 2. Select "Text Zoom (100%)" 3. Select a zoom value larger than 100% Please remember: Altering the settings within your browser listed above will change the magnification for not only this website but any websites you visit in the future. To return the sizes back to normal, use the same instructions listed above but choose a smaller setting to return the text back to its original size. You will probably want to choose Medium, Smaller or Smallest.
